Appointments System
The Doctors and Practice Nurses can be seen by appointment within the stated times. Please call the surgery on 01159383191. Where possible the practice will try and provide a patient appointment with the practitioner of their choice. The patient and clinician will decide on the clinical choice of consultation mode
Reception access: Our reception is open for patients who prefer to book their appointments face to face please ring the bell for assistance
Triage: If your problem is urgent, the practice will add you to the same day triage appointment list
Please Note – Monday morning and Friday evening surgeries can be exceptionally busy and should be avoided if possible. Evening surgery is meant for people who work, so please try to come to morning surgery.
In general, at weekends and out of hours in the evening, try to wait until the next surgery, when Doctor will be happy to see you.

Doctors and our Nurse Practitioner are available to provide advice or to answer queries between 08:00 and 18:00.
Please be aware that they may be in consultation so you may be asked to provide us with your up to date telephone number and we will call you back.

Home Visits
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
Home visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Health Centre.

Cancel an Appointment
It is important that you inform the reception staff if you are unable to attend your appointment, this will allow that appointment to be offered to another patient. If you fail to notify the Practice that you are unable to attend, you will be sent a letter informing you that you have defaulted from your appointment. Persistent defaulters maybe removed from the list.
You can also complete our appointment cancellation notification request form. This can only be used if your appointment has been arranged for more than 24 hours in advance. (excluding weekends and public holidays). You can also text to cancel your appointment.
Late For Your Appointment
Please attend your appointment on time, if you are late you may not be seen. If you are not seen you will not be able to rearrange your appointment until the next working day-except in the event of an medical emergency that requires immediate attention.
Interpreter
If you require an interpreter to attend with you when you see your Doctor please notify the receptionist and she will arrange this for you.
Text Reminder Service
We have a texting service which allows you to receive confirmation and reminders about your appointments.
To have this service you will need to register by completing a consent form.
Please remember to update your contact details with us when you change address, telephone numbers and email address.
Extended Access Appointments
Extra evening and weekend appointments are available in local area.
You can now book a routine GP and Nurse appointment in the evening, at weekends and over bank holidays in your local area or at a member practice of our Primary Care Network. Pre-bookable appointments are available Monday - Friday, 18:30 – 20:00, plus weekends and bank holidays and you can be seen by a GP, Nurse or Healthcare Assistant.
To book your appointment, contact the surgery during normal opening hours. Please be aware that the appointment may take place at another GP Practice in the area.
If you need urgent medical advice when the surgery is closed, you should continue to call NHS 111.
